Personal names in plain text
User names are stored as Unicode NFC plain text. HTML, control characters, bidi overrides, invisible-only content, malformed URLs and prohibited impersonation patterns are not accepted.
Automatic purchase policy
A proposed MAPARCHY name is approved automatically when it passes the versioned prohibited-word and prohibited-phrase policy. The policy normalizes common disguises while preserving the submitted display name and the separate legal geographic name.
Post-purchase flag review
Users may flag a purchased MAPARCHY name once, but cannot flag the official geographic name. Staff can dismiss a flag wave, set a replacement MAPARCHY name, or roll back to a prior purchased name or the official name. At 1,000 flags, a configured automated moderator may decide an unresolved wave, with every action recorded in the audit trail.
Appeal and takedown
Published material may be disputed, revoked or removed from active display while its immutable audit history is preserved. A formal notice-and-appeal contact must be approved before Live launch.
